Overview

ALSP stands for Alternative Legal Service Provider, a new form of corporate legal service that emerged in the U.S. since the 2000s. First Compass supports companies in optimally utilizing lawyers and law firms by offering legal operations outsourcing beyond traditional legal consultation and firm boundaries.

Please note that First Compass does not perform legal services in order to comply with the Attorney Act. If legal work is required, we arrange the necessary framework, including contracting with external legal professionals (attorneys).

1. Back Office Business Process Reengineering (BPR)

First Compass’s ALSP service thoroughly analyzes each client’s legal operations and optimizes their processes. By restructuring back-office tasks related to legal work, we help organizations establish the most effective management practices for legal and other administrative functions that are often left to individual staff or departments.

2. Design and Provision of BPO (Business Process Outsourcing)

We design BPO solutions tailored to each company’s needs, supporting effective and efficient legal operations. Our services enable outsourcing of legal processes and help build an appropriate structure within limited budgets.

  • BPO Design & Arrangement: We design optimal organizational and operational structures for each company’s legal operations, clarifying the division of tasks between internal and external teams.
  • Services via internal resources and network.:Selects and coordinates internal and external experts as needed.
  • Continuous monitoring: We regularly monitor BPO operations and provide improvement measures as needed.

To comply with the Attorney Act, we do not provide legal services.

3. On-site Support

First Compass staff are stationed on-site to provide direct support for daily legal operations. Their presence enables immediate response, improving both the speed and accuracy of tasks.

  • Flexible support: We provide flexible support that adapts to changes in workload and tasks.

To comply with the Attorney Act, we do not provide legal services.

4. Ongoing Support Through Secondment

For specific periods or projects, First Compass staff are seconded to client sites to provide necessary support. This ensures legal operations continue smoothly, addressing needs such.
