CEO Saito Spoke at “Innovation Dynamics from the Japan–Singapore Gateway”
Makoto Saito, CEO of First Compass, participated as a speaker in the session “Innovation Dynamics from the Japan–Singapore Gateway,” held at SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026.
The session explored the potential of cross-border innovation, investment, and business co-creation between Japan and Singapore, bringing together perspectives from the ecosystem, legal, and entrepreneurial fields.
Speaking from his perspective at First Compass and Misono Sogo Law Firm, Saito shared insights on what companies need in order to connect with local ecosystems and translate those connections into practical business development and co-creation.
In particular, he emphasized the importance of going beyond introductions and networking, identifying partners who understand local business customs and decision-making structures, and building relationships based on mutual value creation.
