First Compass Launches Automated Law Comparison Tool
First Compass has launched a free web service, “FC Redline Table,” which automatically compares revisions in laws and regulations and generates comparison tables in Word format.

Key Features
・Automatically extracts all changes between any two points in time by simply entering the name of a law or regulation
・Consolidates multiple amendments over the past five years into a single comparison
・Generates comparison tables in seconds to about one minute
・Outputs in Word (.docx) and HTML formats, ready for immediate business use
・Uses data from e-Gov Law Search, enabling comparisons by enforcement date
How to Use
1. Access the service via the URL above and log in with your Google account
2. Enter the name of a law (e.g., “Companies Act” or “Civil Code”)
3. Select two enforcement dates to compare
4. Click “Generate Comparison Table” to download the file automatically in Word or HTML format
Note: Processing may take up to one minute for longer laws, but most are completed within 10 seconds.
Usage Notes
・The service is available free of charge (up to five uses within a seven-day period)
・A Google account is required to log in
・The output is provided for reference purposes only and does not guarantee legal validity
